Ever since Sewing with Nancy was available on my public broadcasting station, I watched and learned from Nancy. WebFrom her kind and humble demeanor to her positive and patient teaching style, Nancy was a friend, regardless of whether you knew her personally. Nancy gave us all sew much. So I purchased my machine at Sewing weekend. I remember watching Nancy on tv as a child and cant wait to start teaching my granddaughters to sew. Ive never gotten to watch Sewing with Nancy, but I get the emails from her site. I loved watching Nancys programs from the beginning. I always respected Nancys abilty to teach but her sincerity of spirit is what always shone through. I would love the Rest of her story. She never pushed her products nor did she overprice them. Nancy Ziemans income source is mostly from being a successful Television personality. I cant imagine how all the staff keeps going without her presence. She was a great inspiration to many. In my early sewing days, I taped the videos and still have the collection (and a VCR which plays them). It is being passed around at our guild. I began quilting a few years ago and made quilts for all of my grandchildren. My heart goes out for you. What a lovely, loving, caring person Nancy was! I learned many tricks of the trade, made things from her designs, etc. What a wonderful person to all of us! I continue to be inspired each time I pick up one of Nancys book that accompanies todays program. I so admired Nancy and loved her TV shows. Nancy was such an inspiration. Her interviews at the end of the show showed what a positive person Nancy was. She had such an impact on sewing, and also in sewing becoming a wonderful hobby for me. No other tv personalities passing had ever brought me to tears as did Nancys and continues to whenever I think of her. She was so strong and determined, plus you could see how gracious , kind and respectful of others she was. John and I spent 6 months in Florida and I never could find them while there. I always made it a point to view all of her programs and learned, enjoyed and remembered. I would love to read more about her, especially what she was like off screen. I have a feeling she was the same person 24 hours a day, which is refreshing in this day and age! Thank you sir, for sharing her with us, with me!
