The Sicariidae Keyserling, 1880 family comprises three genera: Sicarius Walckenaer, 1847, Loxosceles Heineken and Lowe, 1832 and Hexophthalma Karsch, 1879, in which 169 species are included. Its specific name honours Carl Wilhelm Hahn.
